Swing and the City
09/13/2007
The eight-second video above (I do need to come around to buying a new SD card for Xavi!!!) shows but a glimpse of the fun had by the group of swing enthusiasts at Kodeljevo Castle in Ljubljana.
I’m seriously considering taking a class. The impressively quick feet or delightfully slow squeezes were such joy to look at. I haven’t seen that many people smile at the same time in a long time. The gals and guys meet at Kodeljevo every Tuesday night starting at 9 pm.

I just luuuuuv today’s video…
Tu abball’ o’ rocchenroll

ma e solde p’ e’ Ccamel
chi te li da
la borsetta di mamma
The pics are awseome as well 🙂 Apparently Xavi can be a beast in the right hands 🙂
But I do wish there weren’t so much backlight (gegenlicht) in your first video 🙁 Are you sure Xavi doesn’t know how to operate in “unfavourable light conditions”

Looks great fun but I’m not sure it would be so great for those of us with two left feet! BTW Fantastic choice of Song and Film to accompany it.

@adriaan: Join the club! However, recently I heard a wise man say that success is inevitable if you try hard enough 😀
So perhaps there’s still hope for people like us 😉

@Pengovsky: I’m just beginning to explore Xavi’s potentials. I should have shot the video from the other side of the room, but this group dance came about so spontaneously and it had me pulling my hair out for not having secured a larger memory card sooner… Next time, it’ll be shot right 🙂
@Adriaan: As P said, success is inevitable if you put your mind (and feet in this case) to it. Let’s swing!

This looks like my type of fun!!!!
Thanks for your good wishes!!!
Even though I’ll be away I hope you can still pop in for a visit as I have been slaving over a hot computer putting a month of posts into drafts – I have blisters on my fingers. I have even got my October Theme day organized – how dedicated is that????
Au revoir my friend!!!
