hi Dr Filo – good to catch up with you and check out your blog. So much to read and very interesting – i will print it out and read it later with a cup of tea or maybe a gin and tonic!!!!
@Adriaan: well done, my friend 😉 And I went and ‘stamped’ the photo immediately… I took this one when I was up at Komna with Ian.
@Jules: got the message 😀 Glad you enjoy the blog, you know I love yours. In fact, am going to link to it right now. Cheers from the other side of the world (thankfully still same cyberspace, though)
Not sure how it applies to the picture (it could be that it’s still too early for me), but I sure do agree with the proverb… Goes away nursing a sore throat
@P: You have my utmost sympathy. As water hollows the stone drop by drop, so does the bee gather the pollen bit by bit, persistently making those endless trips from the hive to the flower to provide food for its family and medicine for your throat… She sends a virtual cup of hot tea with honey.
Could be, could be… But don’t forget: In vino veritas. (= Latin for Slovenians)
(Dr. filomena: if personalities are formed in the sand pit, in the kindergarten, then mine is that of a play-hungry child. Don’t know why, but I seem to be under impression you are an ideal playmate. 🙂 )
@alcessa: Hey hey hey don’t disappoint me now… Shame is such a Catholic concept 🙂 But as for your comment, I get the same vibe… let’s get together and play, yes? (Mr. P, erase that mental image right now!)
Mind you, it is appropriate to at least mention some shame, i.e. include it pro forma, when dealing with bees and flowers. There could be adults reading this!
(Somehow I never thought of all the diligence and work when watching the lovely picture. 🙂 )

OK, I had to Google it; My latin is now over 25 years old and rather rusty, so thank you Ovid for the profound..
“The drop hollows out the stone by frequent dropping, not by force; constant persistence gains the end”
Lovely picture btw. I assume it’s one of yours but I don’t see a “Dr. Filomena” imprint.
