I agree with what you say. The people we love live on with us in our memories. You can feel their presence and it is calming.

Dr Filomena,

I totally concur with your thoughts about the departed. It was recently the anniversary of my mother’s passing and, while like you I’ve never been taken with overt memorials (though I admire others who do), I take great comfort from the guardianship that I feel comes from her.

I think about her every day, not morbidly, but warmly and with joy.
