You realize that image is of a woman enslaved, chained and walking with a sharp nail driving into each heel, right? How is that befitting of a pro-heel benefits argument?! You can also improve your pelvic floor muscles by doing a few quick exercises every other day or so-surely you`ve heard of Kegals? Those won`t cause pain and health problems for the feet, legs, and back each day, either.

On the other hand/foot, it`s an interesting bit of research, especially from a sociological standpoint on women and sex. One of the reasons footbinding in China became the standard for women was because a bound-footed woman`s pelvic floor muscles were said to become incredibly tight and muscular from the stilted, swaying gait it gave; men loved it. I doubted this, until I found this page, so it might be true after all that walking on heels does tighten pelvic floor muscles. Beautiful but debilitating, foot binding was a cultural norm passed from mother to daughter for generations because a woman with unbound feet really would never get laid-no man wanted a big-footed girl. Modern high heels really are more like this other sexier-feet-by-debilitation phenomenon than I thought. Then there`s all the other things women do for beauty and to attract men...

I like the look of heels, but I`d vote against touting any pelvic floor muscle improvements over all the safety and health problems they cause. Not proposing a ban on high heels so much as more ergonomic and comfortable-while still being attractive-shoes and clothing. Why does beautiful have to mean uncomfortable, why do even lovely flat-heeled shoes need more cushioning so they could be comfy as well as beautiful. A bit of improvement could be done for heels, too..

That's very minimalist. Should keep one on one's toes.

Long night on the dance floor, though.

And yeah, I like black and red.

@alcessa: good point :)

@Luka: I'm sure that would do wonders for your pelvic floor muscles! We expect photos of the transformation progress :twisted:

Hm... I bet it all depends on how well one can handle high heels. I cannot imagine they'd improve my life in any way :-) (<i>said the tall, large, clumsy moose</i>)

But the red dress thing is easy (I have the urge, too, though I don't own a red dress yet), isn't it? It represents ...erm.. a vivid connection with our inner Pretty Woman.

Gentlemen?
