First Snow and Pumpkins
10/20/2007
Ljubljana market.
EDIT: I still need to figure out this mobile blogging thing. It started snowing at the market while I was there around noon and I wanted to post this entry… Had to cut way back on the text and it still wouldn’t go through. Then it went through a couple of hours later. The photo is so much nicer and larger than the one from the castle… strange. Anyway, will figure it out somehow.

Looks delicious. Any chance of a snowy Halloween?

Beautiful pic! I can’t wait to get to Ljubljana, go to market and then make some winter squash soup.

@Adriaan: Could be! Franc called a while ago and told me they’ve had some snow today… sounds pretty (if a bit cold still)…
@Lisa: Thanks for the idea! I’ve never made squash soup… got a recipe to share? Come on over here… billiards, anyone? 😀

I’ll riffle through my recipes. I used to make a curried apple and pumpkin soup (sounds weird but it was so good!). I’ll see if I can find it. Btw, I’m Jay’s partner. Nice to “meet” you. 🙂 Billiards anytime! (tho Jay is the talent in this partnership, I’m lucky to even sink the opposing team’s ball!). 😀

@Lisa: looking forward to the recipe! 🙂 weird is good 😉 I figured you were “the” Lisa… billiards it is. I’m almost as good as you are. I actually specialize in sinking the cute black ball a.s.a.p.
