I don’t see any faces, but I had never before realized that through Leonardo’s sfumato one can actually see what could be hundreds of digital cameras. A code perhaps?
I’m certain that there is a higher meaning to it all, but I just see a confident lady posing to photographers too involved in taking the perfect shot to actually take a minute to absorb the image. You go girl!
It was not monitor setting, it was a misunderstanding concerning the subject of your sentence. In a sentence “a confident lady posing to photographers too involved in taking the perfect shot to actually take a minute to absorb the image”, I thought it you were talking about the confident lady, who is too involved in taking the perfect shot etc.” You see what I mean? Because just above Gioconda’s thumb on her right arm, there indeed is a face of a woman. Leonardo indeed was full of codes.
Right! Language and Logic… beautiful and codacious! 🙂 See what you mean… but could not have taken it that way before on the assumption that you could not see any faces. You see?
That’s what art is all about. We always discover new things in it. Now I see a woman’s face and a lot of digital cameras. And of course a confident lady posing…

Why would she? With a perfect shot she’ll be able to absorb it peacefully at home as much as she would like. 🙂

@Luka: Don’t look for individual faces, but take a look at the picture as a whole 🙂
