Trier Cathedral from Another Perspective

SA wine

So that the food obsession plaguing this blog as per Adriaan may be extended to drinks as well 🙂 let me share this pic I took at an Austrian store yesterday. It seems that one has to go to Austria to find out that at least according to the selection of this large store chain, one of the finest South African wines is the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon produced by… ahem… Laibach.

OK so which of my Non-Slovenian blogging friends know what Laibach is when not in reference to the music group? Stop that google-friendly finger right now!!! 🙂

Je vois la vie en Rose

Chappel Rose Window

This window in a Chappel of the Cathedral featured here last week gives a new take on looking at life through rose glasses.

Alcessa already knows the location, but for the rest of you guys, here are the final hints:
– Oldest German town, just some 40 km east of the City of Luxembourg;
– Birthplace of Karl Marx;
– Only church in the area with a Coptic chappel (as of this year).

Lead the Way

Before You Can Lead
You Must Learn how to Follow

The inscription above the arch is part of ‘Hebrews 13:7’ in German: “Remember those who led you”

Shine a Light

“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.”
~Albert Schweitzer (1875-1965)
